You will need
- Any weight of yarns you wish to use and recommended hook size for the yarn weight you selected.
And other essential materials and tools like
- Yarn needle for weaving ends.
- ch = chain
- dc = double crochet
- st = stitch
- sk = skip
- sp = space
- ch-sp – chain space
- beg = beginning
- [ ] work instructions within brackets as many times as directed
Crochet Half Granny Hexagon
Make a magic ring,
Row 1: ch 4 (count as st and ch), 3 dc into the ring, [ch 2, 3 dc into the ring] 2 times, ch 1, dc into the ring, turn.
Row 2: ch 4 (count as st and ch), 2 dc in first ch-sp, [(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) into the next ch-sp (corner)] 2 times, (2 dc, ch 1, 1 dc) in last ch-sp, turn.
Row 3: ch 4 (count as st and ch), 2 dc in first ch-sp, [3 dc in next sp between dc, (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) into the next ch-sp (corner)] 2 times, 3 dc in next sp between dc, (2 dc, ch 1, 1 dc) in last ch-sp. Fasten off and weave the end.
