Crochet Turkey Hat Free Pattern

Crochet Turkey Hat Free Pattern by Crochet For You.

Hello, my dear crochet lover friends. As you know, I have already finished Woodland Animal Hat Pattern Series and I shared cute looking Black Cat Hat Pattern for the Halloween. Buuut….. I can’t stop crocheting animal hat or holiday hats. So I thought again it is perfect time to crochet another cute animal hat pattern.

Look at the final result I have got. I made a turkey hat pattern for Thanksgiving. I hope you like it. 🙂 Do you know what is my favorite part of this hat pattern?  It is a chain loop pompom I made.

This Crochet Turkey Hat made in toddler size. Follow the hat sizing guide-How to Crochet Hat in Any Size to make this hat in any size.

With red color yarn and H-8 / 5mm crochet hook, crochet 6 chains, 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 3 sc in each of next ch across, Cut the yarn and fasten off leaving about 6″ long yarn tail.

Chain Loop pompom

I followed great tutorial on A Crocheted Simplicity to make this chain loop pompom.

I crocheted 252 chains total. First, crochet 84 chains with red and join green color yarn and crochet 84 chains, again join orange color yarn and make 84 chains. (ch 255 total)

Do not drop the hook

To make loops, I counted 12 chains and inserted hook into that 12th chain, repeat this until the end and yarn over pull through all the loops on the hook, crochet one ch tightly to make it more secure. Cut the yarn and fasten off leaving about 6″ long yarn tail.
