Learning new crochet stitch is like a turning new page of the book of your crochet life. In this chapter, we are going to learn how to crochet picot trellis stitch.
Crochet picot trellis stitch great for scarves, market bags, shawls and more spring and summer projects.
You will need
- Any weight of yarns you wish to use and recommended hook size for the yarn weight you selected. You can make this with solid or multiple colors.
- #2-Fine / sport weight yarns
- 7, 4.5mm crochet hook
And other essential materials and tools like
- Stitch markers
- Measuring tape and
- Yarn needle for weaving ends.
- ch = chain
- st = stitch
- sk = skip
- sc = single crochet
- dc = double crochet
- P = picot
- * to ; = repeat * to the instructions.
- P (picot) = crochet ch 3, sl st to the last sc just crocheted.
How to Crochet Picot Trellis Stitch
Crochet multiple of 4 +2
Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from the hook (image 2), ch 5, sk next ch 3, sc in next ch
(image 3), P (image 4), *ch 5, sk next ch 3, sc in next ch, P; repeat * to across, do not crochet picot in last sc, turn.
Row 2: ch 5, sc in first ch-sp (image 7), P, *ch 5, sc in next ch-sp (image 8), P; repeat *to across until last ch-sp (image 9), ch 3, dc in last sc (image 10), turn.
Row 3: ch 1, sc in the first dc, *ch 5, sc in next ch-sp, P; repeat *to across, after crocheting last ch 5, sc in 3rd ch, turn. (images 11 & 12)
Repeat rows 2 & 3 until your desired length.
