Crochet Star Flower Headband Pattern by Crochet For You.
I had some leftover yarns only for the small project. So I thought to make something for this spring using these little bits of yarns. Finally, I came up with this pretty headband pattern for this week!
If you remember the pouch in this post, you can see the same flower pattern there.
I used Join As You Go method to make this headband. It’s easy to crochet and can adjust any size you want. It was a fun to me, playing with leftover yarns and I’m really happy with the final result. Don’t you think this is a great idea for leftover yarns… I won’t throw any bits of yarns again… 🙂
Skill level Intermediate
Finished size: Headband Circumference = 20-21” (This headband can be adjusted to any size)
Materials (I used)
Worsted weight yarn (13 WPI)
(MC) yellow color 1.20 yards for one flower (approx: 15 yards total)
To make the center of each flower I used a small amount of yarns about 1 yard. Choose any color you want. (approx: 11 yards total)
4 mm crochet hook
This pattern can be worked in any yarn weight. Gauge is not very important for this project.
ch = chain
hdc = half double crochet
sl st = slip stitch
st = stitch
sk = skip
This headband can be adjusted to any size
Crochet first flower with all rounds (1 to 2) and fasten off.
Next flowers start with round 1 like the first flower, but it’s will be joined with other flowers when crocheting round 2 with join as you go method.
Continue adding flowers to get your head Circumference size. And joined last flower to first flower, to enclose the headband.
